This past academic year the buses here started flashing this sign—in addition to their usual “Smile, It’s Sunny!”
When I move, I will miss buses telling me to smile and live.

I shall take up the slack.
But I won’t be as pleasant about it.
I make it more benign than it is.
The buses started posting the sign because first year students had the unfortunate habit of stepping in front of moving buses. Bus literacy is down.
