  1. I have been equally delighted, if not more so, to read (mostly silently) Modal Minority. The bbc interview coupled with the short story reading reminded me of the ways one can be bi-lingual as a function of history and location, less the languages one has mastered.

  2. Flattery will get you everywhere.

    (And “bilingual” has to be one of the most well-lubricated and suggestive words in the entire lexicon. This is a word I love.)
